Megan Matthews

Remedial Massage Therapist

Megan is a Registered Level 6 Massage Therapist. And is a member of Massage New Zealand.

I was born Canada and spent my early years in Ontario. I was fortunate to move to British Columbia and fell in love with the mountains, and all things snow. I grew up in beautiful Rossland and lived only a stones throw away from Red Mountain. After many seasons of playing in the snow, I moved to Winnipeg to attend massage therapy college in Manitoba. I graduated as an Advanced Remedial Massage Therapist. After working in Winnipeg, I sold up all my belongings and moved to New Zealand. I've been in New Zealand since 2010 and am happy to call Queenstown home!

Since graduating I've worked with professional and amateur athletes, Olympians, clients in hospice and palliative care. While working in Queenstown I've been fortunate to work along side athletes at Triathlons, AFL training camps, trampers coming off a week long hikes and snowboarding and skiing injuries alike.

Having dealt with my own injuries over the years (I'm a wee bit accident prone...), I have a keen interest in all aspects of massage therapy, from rehabilitation & chronic pain to movement restrictions. While studying I wrote my thesis on functional and structural Scoliosis and have a special curiosity for disorders of the spine.

I also love cuddly animals.
